Applications for Umra Are Now Open
The annual Dirasa study trip to Makka and Madina for the minor pilgrimage (Umra) which is again being organised in association with Kitaba is now accepting applications. The trip includes classes on Ramadan, the Book of Taqwa and Knowledge, plus lessons on Quran reading and the meanings of the Quran as well as guidance on the rites of the pilgrimage and history of the historic and religious sites. All classes have notes in formats accessible for the Blind including Braille, tactile maps and digital and audio formats.
The group will depart from London, Oslo and Copenhagen on 21st of July and arrive in Madina shortly after midnight. It may be possible to arrange flights from other European cities which have connections to Istanbul on Turkish Airways. The return journey will be on 5th August from Jeddah.
Accommodation will be in five star hotels and will include breakfast for the days prior to Ramadan and an evening meal (iftar) for the days that fall in Ramadan.
The cost will be around £1665) for an adult in a triple room and around £1783) for an adult in a twin room. The price includes the following: travel to and from Makka and Madina, hotel accommodation and one meal per day, some trips and all lessons and lesson material.
