Deaf Sisterhood Documentary

A documentary from Redbird Media about deaf sisterhood.  Some of the footage was taken from our course in Leeds, in February; which we hosted with our partners Utrujj.

Real Deaf Lives. Made by Deaf for the Deaf in British Sign Language, with voice and subtitles

Fun-loving teaching assistant Aran, aged 27, is at a crossroads with her religious faith. Her Christian beliefs have faded in recent years. She has always been interested in Islam, especially since starting her job in a school where many students come from Muslim families. Now she is going out with a Muslim man and is considering a conversion. But her atheist mother is worried and her Christian friends want her to re-consider.

Follow Aran as she goes on a journey of religious discovery and find out why she is attracted to Islam – is it because of her Muslim partner, the culture and traditions or the faith itself?
