Kitaba’s new book available now!
The Islamic Texts for the Blind have now produced its third book, Taqwa and Knowledge by the Blind Scholar, Imam al-Haddad. It was officially launched at a series of events in Birmingham, Dewsbury and Bradford. The Birmingham event was part of the annual Traditional Halaqa taught by prominent scholars including the renowned scholar and Quran Teacher, Shaykh Samir al-Nass. In Bradford, Imam Khalid Hussain delivered a lecture on fasting which was followed by a summary of the book by its translator, Abdul Aziz Ahmed. The event was attended by about 150 people and a BSL interpreter was provided for the deaf participants. The Sacred Knowledge Trust hosted the third event. The course followed a seminar on Islamic Education organised by the UK Madrasa Network and attracted guests from Scotland, Manchester, Birmingham and London. Another event has been organised by the Islamic Studies Trust (Glasgow) as part of the Ramadan programme of the Woodfarm Education Trust in Scotland. The course will take place on 14th August and will be followed by a free iftar meal. The book is available from its distributor Palmtree Books for £5.95.
