National Eye Week – 13 to 19 June 2011

Sight is the sense that most people fear losing the most and yet very few take the necessary steps to look after the well being of their eyes.

13th June marks the second National Eye week.  During this week, a wealth of eye care charities, health professionals and organisations have come together to promote awareness of eye health and the importance of regular sight tests.

Those who have not had a sight test within the last two years are urged to arrange one as soon as possible.  These seemingly innocuous tests can pick up a multitude of eye conditions within the early stages, thereby preventing sight loss.
